Carter Marine at the 2026 Australia Tahiti Rendezvous

From 25–26 June 2026, Sarah Toxward represented Carter Marine Agencies at the Superyacht Australia Tahiti Rendezvous, held at Marina Taina in Papeete.

This year marked the largest Rendezvous to date, with more than 150 visiting crew attending across the two‑day program. Key highlights included the Rivergate VIP Captains’ Lunch and the Pacific Provisioning Crew BBQ, both designed to bring people together and strengthen industry connections.

For Carter Marine, the Rendezvous is far more than an industry gathering. It is often the moment when early conversations evolve into real cruising plans, and relationships begin transforming into practical, on‑the‑ground support.

Connecting Before Yachts Reach Australia

Tahiti is a key gateway for superyachts heading west towards Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.

Meeting captains and crew early allows us to discuss itineraries, visas, customs and biosecurity, berthing, freight, technical support and provisioning before the yacht arrives. This early planning helps prevent delays and makes the vessel’s time in Australia as smooth as possible.

Relationships That Extend Beyond the Event

The superyacht industry is built on trust, shared knowledge and strong working relationships.

The Rendezvous allows us to reconnect with captains and crew, strengthen relationships with our trusted Tahitian partners and spend time with colleagues across the Australian and wider Pacific superyacht industry.

It is also one of the few times each year that the businesses within our wider group come together. Carter Marine supports vessels entering and cruising Australia, while Melanesian Yachts assists yachts continuing into Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.

Together, this provides yachts with reliable support as they move through the Western Pacific.

Many of Carter Marine’s strongest working relationships began with a simple introduction or conversation at an event like this. That is why the value of the Rendezvous continues long after everyone leaves the marina.

Bringing More Superyachts to Australia

Australia offers exceptional cruising grounds, from the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsundays to Sydney, Tasmania and the Kimberley, supported by world-class shipyards, marine trades and technical services.

By attending the Tahiti Rendezvous each year, we can answer questions, provide honest advice and keep Australia front of mind for vessels considering their next cruising season or refit destination.

Our sincere thanks to Superyacht Australia for once again bringing the Pacific superyacht community together and creating opportunities that extend far beyond the event itself.

We look forward to welcoming many of this season’s fleet as they continue their journey west.
