In 2003 Carrie identified a niche business opportunity and commenced the establishment of a premium quality support agency service to the burgeoning superyacht industry.

It was during this period, that Carrie Carter’s reputation was established as the number one source of accurate information and quality service amongst bewildered superyacht Captains, visiting Australia for the first time! This reputation has been consolidated and Carrie is now recognised both amongst Captains and her industry peers as a leading expert on all the relevant regulatory issues facing visiting superyachts.

Carrie also played a major role in lobbying and encouraging appropriate marina infrastructure, market development and services for the growing superyacht market in Queensland.

Carrie Carter was a founding member of the Super Yacht Group - Great Barrier Reef industry cluster which is now a 70-plus strong member-based organisation charged with increasing superyacht visitation to Cairns for the benefits of its members.  She is currently a Platinum member of the Group (which is a member of Superyacht Base Australia) and holds the position of Treasurer on the Management Committee.  She has been a board member for eight years and is also the Cairns agent for the Association of Yacht Support Services (AYSS).
